Refining Business
GS Energy boasts a refining capacity of 800,000 barrels of crude oil per day, including facilities for processing heavy oil, demonstrating high sophistication in processing capabilities. Approximately 71% of the total revenue is generated from exports.

Petrochemical Business
Through continuous facility investments, GS Energy currently possesses a production capacity of 1.35 million tons of paraxylene, making it one of the world's top producers. Additionally, the polypropylene business has secured an annual production capacity of 180,000 tons, expanding its reach from polypropylene (PP) to compounded resin (compound PP). GS Energy is focusing on becoming a global compounded resin manufacturer, with establishment of compounded resin production corporate in China, the Czech Republic, and Mexico.

Base Oil and Lubricant Oil Business
With an expanded production capacity of up to 26,000 barrels per day, GS Energy exports over 70% of its production volume to the global market. Moreover, GS Energy produces 9,000 barrels per day of lubricant oil products and 9,000 tons of grease products, consistently holding the top market share and sales volume in the domestic lubricant oil finished product market. Building on its competitiveness in the domestic market, GS Energy has expanded into overseas lubricant oil markets, establishing local corporates in India, China, and Russia.

H&Z Chemical, a joint venture between GS Energy (49%) and Hanwha Solutions (51%), was established in April 2023 through a joint venture agreement signed in September 2022.
H&Z Chemical aims to commence commercial production of its products in the second half of 2025.The company plans to produce EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), a key raw material for solar module sheets, with an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons. It will secure a stable supply of raw materials, ethylene, through GS Caltex and supply EVA to global solar component manufacturers through Hanwha Solutions. GS Energy's investment in solar material and component production is part of its commitment to carbon neutrality policies to address climate change.
